Message from Pastor Swanson

To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I mention you always in my prayers, asking that somehow by God's will I may now at last succeed in coming to you.
These wonderful words come from the beginning of Paul’s letter to the Romans, and I would warmly echo them now. I thank God for you all every day and for you calling me to be your pastor. As I have now completed the duties at my current call, I have changed my prayers to include each of you by name everyday and while I am sure that I am not pronouncing all your last names correctly, I am sure that God can sort that out.
Thankfully it won’t be long, and I will be with you and as God has revealed His plans for our move, things have changed again. Our house here is sold and we have bought a home in Kansas City with closing dates just a few weeks away. Now it is just some details around the actual move and a little heavy lifting, and we will be there. Even better my wife will be with me and two of my three children (at least until they head to college a week later).
God be with you all and we will see you soon.
